We are a family from Arraial DAjuda and started Pousada Oca dos Índios 42 years ago! Since then we have a lot of history and experiences to share 🙌. Here, we treat everyone with affection, responsibility, and equality. We value common sense, dialogue, and work done with dedication and lightness.
Volunteers are welcomed as part of the house: we offer support, listening and an environment where respect, freedom and harmony are priorities. We expect the same in return 🌻

My second consecutive time at the pousada Índios, a place with an amazing view, well located and very close to everything. The staff at the pousada Índios are wonderful. It's great to be part of the team 🫶🏻

I spent two weeks at the guesthouse and it was very good; I had to extend two days and they extended it nicely for me. I made friends with the other volunteers and I could connect with nature as well. The guesthouse is very well located, it’s on Mucugê Street and there's always plenty of movement to enjoy Arraial at night too. I volunteered in cleaning, the work is heavy, but the hours are respected and we take breaks to have breakfast and lunch. I liked the staff member Vanuza a lot, she is a sweetheart and takes very good care of everyone, I would like to take her with me 🩷

I did media volunteering at the Indians' inn. I was treated very well by Elis; she was very kind to me. The inn's structure is very good, however some things need to improve to receive volunteers: the kitchen had no structure, the utensils were only two pots and some cutlery (the inn's kitchen and the volunteers' kitchen are not the same). In the volunteers' chalet, air conditioning could not be used and there was no fan. The work is also quite demanding, especially for those who do cleaning; I missed more exchange between the inn and the volunteers beyond just working.

I think it would be interesting for you to improve in communication, because if you had told me about the fan or the kitchen, it would have been resolved right away… The reception kitchen, for example, was always available to volunteers - you saw that the girls used it at will. You chose to stay quiet and to mind your own business, but then we couldn’t guess your needs in order to improve. Anyway, thank you very much 🙏🏻

The Índios Inn is paradisical! Beautiful in every detail, the place has incredibly cozy hospitality and the sea view is impressive. The location is excellent, close to everything, and breakfast is incredibly complete! A special shout-out to the staff, who are very dear and attentive.
Beyond all this charm and beauty, the service runs very well because it is done by people who truly want to work — five well-spent hours daily with dedication, and I put a lot of love into the environment to keep everything impeccable.
I wholeheartedly recommend and I will definitely be back! ❤️✨️
