Rhine Valley Alpacas and Hostel

Getting to know alpacas is one of the greatest experiences in life! Those animals are just fascinating as they make everybody happy and smile. Spending time with them and joining them on their trekking tours is the perfect way to relax and reconnect with nature.

All in all - if you´re an easy-going, caring and welcoming person, who loves to get to know people from all over the world and of course who loves animals you´re perfect for this exchange and more than welcome to stay with us!

We will be happy to show you around the region and make sure you don´t miss out on the most beautiful spots we do have to offer. We are surrounded by magnificent vineyards and wineries along with many old Castles, which are worth a visit and many other attractions. There is plenty of opportunityies for you to site see! We hope that during your stay with us you will enjoy meeting and socializing with local people as well as meeting other volunteers and our guests from all over the world. Andi and I both used to travel for a while, so we know that it is a very special and unforgettable time. We would be grateful to be a part of your great travel experience!

Working in the hostel with Andy and Linda was amazing! I really thank you guys for sharing with us a little bit of your time and story, and for helping with everything you could! All in all, I leave the hostel with some new friends (including the alpacas 😁). Plus a lot of memories of the kilometers we got to know from the area, a 100% recommendable place for nature lovers.

Andy and Linda were amazing hosts! Everything was as expected and they made extra efforts to give us the best experience they could and to help with our adaption to the new language and country.
All in all we leave the hostel with a bitter-sweet sensation because we would like to stay longer! But at the same time we take with us an incredible experience and a deeper understanding of the german people and culture.
We hope the best for them and we're sure that our paths will cross again soon.

I am really grateful for everything this place gave me, starting with our hosts Andy and Linda, they are very kind and warm people who will make you feel at home. We had the opportunity to visit many places in the region and immerse ourselves in the local culture in a short time. In addition, sharing time with the alpacas is something wonderful and the environment makes it even more pleasant. Regarding tasks and work, it is too simple, the hostel is small and cozy and is supplied with everything necessary to have a satisfactory stay.
Definitely an unforgettable experience.
Thanks a lot!

Our experience was short but incredible✨ Andy and Linda are incredibly friendly, they explain everything very well and they greatly respect the days off as well as what was agreed upon, the hostel is very nice and comfortable, its well located and it is easy to go to many places by transportation public, the work is basically cleaning the hostel and farm, alpacas are cute, friendly and hanging out with them is fun.

Thank you Andy and Linda for the experience, you were the best, we wish you the best always🤍 we will be back in Bad Salzig for sure, a giant hug to the alpacas and sam 🦙🐈‍⬛

Absolutely loved my experience volunteering here! Andreas is very kind and really interesting to talk to. All the tasks are easy to learn and don’t take too much time so you can explore the peaceful village or use the free transport ticket to visit nearby towns and cities. I really enjoyed joining Linda on the alpaca walks. There’s some really absolutely stunning scenery and the alpacas are extremely gentle and friendly. My two weeks flew by so quickly, I 100% recommend this experience to everyone.
