Rosa de los Vientos

We invite you to spend some time with us at the Rosa de los Vientos; our motto is "Sharing is Living" and that’s why we want you to come. We want you to share your view of the world and teach us your customs and your language. We want to cook together traditional dishes from your country and ours. We only ask that you bring a good attitude, relate to us and to our guests in a friendly way, and help us with the small daily tasks of a big house. We hope you improve your Spanish, your surfing, and that you take away an incredible experience from your stay with us.

I consider myself an open-minded person, and always willing to learn. I have lived in seven countries and have university studies. I work partly in Cultural Management and I enjoy sharing the various aspects of life with diverse people from whom I can receive contributions and be able to offer them things. My team has the same profile as mine, although they are better.
Volunteers will be treated as part of the family, not as random pieces in a work team.

It is a small and warm hostel. The volunteers' room is spacious with its own bathroom. The tasks are light and the hours flexible. In my case, I work online and the hours were respected, with priority in the choice of the hostel's work shifts. It is a few steps from the beach and the city center.
The stay was very good, the volunteer team welcomed me spectacularly and we enjoyed it a lot!
Thank you Fernando for welcoming me and allowing me to spend a beautiful month in Cádiz 😉
Until next time and happy life!

I had an amazing month in Cádiz! The hostel is perfectly located in the historic centre, just a few minutes from the beach. Cádiz has such a great atmosphere, and it was a great opportunity to improve my Spanish. Be ready to speak Spanish from day one, especially during check-ins! A big thank you to Agos, Juli and Nina ❤️ One thing to be aware of: Fernando, the owner, can have inappropriate or uncomfortable interactions and comments, especially towards women. It's important to know this beforehand. Overall, I loved my time in Cádiz and would definitely recommend the experience!

Hello Brunile, thank you for the comment and the rating. However, I am truly saddened by the remark you made about me—which is, of course, your personal perception. I hope I never made any comment (I don't believe I did) that made you feel uncomfortable around me. And certainly, as you have seen, I do not speak about people who are not present. If you heard me make a comment or an "inappropriate" joke with a woman, it is because my relationship with her allows for that level of familiarity.

This experience was my first volunteer experience, and I am grateful to Fer and to the group of volunteers I had the pleasure of sharing with—agos, juls, ire and nina—for making me feel at home. The activities are clear and easy to carry out, and the schedules are met. Cádiz is a beautiful city, the sunset at La Caleta is something I will always remember. Thank you 💗✌🏻

My experience at the hostel was fantastic! Fer (the host) is a wonderful person, always willing to help and very welcoming. The other girls on the staff were also always very kind and respectful. It's the perfect place to practice Spanish! Additionally, the hostel is in a very convenient location for everything. I highly recommend it! ❤️
