Salento Biodinamic Farm

We are an international community. Building an innovative farm in the south of Italy the combines permaculture, elettrocolture and biodynamic practices. Respecting ancestral ways of living combined with innovation practices.

I have travelled the world and decided Salento to be the base for now. My partner is a certified Naturopath and holistic therapist. We believe in the healing properties of nature and our bodies. We are willing to create a sanctuary where every plant we have has a function.

We take care of our community. We have many come backs and recurring volunteers that have choosen to regularly spend time with us to help us grow the project.

These have been fantastic weeks, the place is beautiful, Chiara and the people staying in Theriaké are all wonderful.
The volunteers sleep inside tents, there are hammocks and a supersonic net built by Kate to chill. I recommend having a driver's license (or bikes) to move around more easily, but it's not necessary because a ride to the beach can be organized!
There is flexibility in working hours, depending on whether one day you feel unwell or you have more or less energy you can work more or fewer hours and recover them when you're in better shape.
I recommend everyone to come here
Thanks:)

It seems absurd to think that I ended up in this place by chance. I went there without too many expectations. To change the air, to pass the time. And I became, after three weeks, another person. Beyond all the practical things I learned (to plant, to harvest, to build, to clean), I discovered a way of living different from anything I knew. Chiara chose one by one, some fantastic people, who create a strong community. I must thank Kate, Ale, Amber and Giona for all the beautiful moments I take home with me. This place will be missed by me, and I hope to return soon 🫂

It has been such a beautiful experience that I have extended my original stay, and I would have extended it even more but I must continue on. Everyone is kind and loving. There are days with more intense work and others that are very calm, but the connection with nature is unmatched. The key is to always be open to collaborating, not only doing what is asked but also paying attention to everything (order, cleanliness, basics of living together)
Thank you Chiara, Ale, Fede and Amber for opening the doors of their home to me with so much love. And an even bigger thanks to Sami and Giona for giving me a friendship that I will always remember ♥

I felt at home from the very beginning. I experienced how an ecological and sustainable farm project develops and really enjoyed working in their beautiful synergistic garden. What I appreciated most was the people I met and the warmth of the Theriake team. Chiara created a welcoming atmosphere, sharing her ideas and proyects and encouraging us to contribute. We enjoyed homemade pasta prepared by Fede, beatiful foraging spots, trips to the beach, and lovely afternoons with the whole team playing cards over aperitivo.

Well, it's hard to explain how incredible this experience was for me.. I really felt at home from the moment I arrived. The project they're carrying out seemed so interesting to me that I felt the need and the desire to help every day. The kindness with which everything is handled filled my heart, so thank you 💚 as it was my first volunteering experience and I had other commitments, I stayed three weeks but I would have loved to stay longer. If you like connecting with nature and learning about agroecological farming, I highly recommend! I loved the food and spending time with the animals ROSI🫶🏼
