Seaside Home

The location is ideal to see some of the most beautiful coastline and national parks in England. Our home is just a short walks from the heart of a thriving small seaside town, with lots going on.

Given a good rapport, we like to treat our working guest like a member of our family. Often we take them out to local beauty spots such as Dartmoor and other coastal towns. We like our volunteers guests to have a positive experience with us, to be a success .
The degree of our involvement is with our guests largely lead by the volunteer - i.e. how much they want to engage with us and whether they are flexible and can be left to get on with things .
I usually cook most of the meals although a volunteer may offer to cook if they wish to from time to time. We enjoy trying foods from different cultures. I often cook Indian or Thai style curries

I only stayed two weeks with Glyn and Dan but they've been lovely hosts. Really engaging and talkative, I had such a great time with them. We mostly did some gardening work which was successful. They took me out on the weekend or on my last days and I had lots of fun with them. Pancho is such a lovely dog and enlightened my stay even more. I would always come back to them!

From the very first moment, their home felt like a second home, making leaving incredibly difficult.
Glyn and Danny are a fun, artistic couple with open minds shaped by many life experiences, and there is so much to learn from them. Pancho (he may seem like a dog, but he’s actually a little human) will steal your heart, and you’ll have no choice but to return to Teignmouth to see them again.
The tasks were easy and manageable, and Glyn was very flexible with schedules and changes. Painting the bedroom was enjoyable and enriching. Thank you all three! See you again!

It was a real pleasure to host you Laura. The wonderful thing about Worldpackers is the friends we make along the way! I'm very happy that we were at the start of your Worldpacker journey. Pancho is also asking when you're back again hahaha!

This was my first time volunteering and I had a lovely experience! Both Glyn and Danny were very welcoming and made sure I felt at home :) The tasks were pretty simple, I mostly just helped around the house and did whatever little tasks needed to be done at the moment. Teignmouth is a lovely city and there's some really nice places to explore, Glyn gave me good tips on where to go on my free time! And of course can't forget Pancho, what a unique little dog, miss him already! Thank you for a great two weeks!

This was my second time travelling through Worldpackers and the first staying at someone's home, which may seem it intimidating, but it wasn't at all. Glyn and Dan are very welcoming and comfortable sharing their space with other people. Tasks were simple and manageable, and Teignmouth is beautiful and close to other small towns that are worth a visit. Overall, a really good experience. Thank you!

I'm very grateful for my stay with Glyn, Dan & Pancho. They were very generous and caring hosts who really made an effort to accomodate for me. I enjoyed the work I was helping them with & they were very grateful for my contribution which was nicely rewarding. I came to them when I was feeling a bit homesick in my travels & they were very conscious of my feelings & gave me space but also support when I needed it. They were also great at actively suggesting things I could do to fill my time, explore the local areas & meet new people if I so wished. Their profile description is very accurate.

Thank you Libby for your kind review! We were very happy to host you and although sorry that you were homesick at times I'm glad we were able to offer you the right space snd support. It's natural to get these feelings sometimes especially in early years of being away from those we love. You were a perfect guest, and exactly what we needed at the time! Thank you so much for what you did for us and I hope we will hear from you on your travels!
