Sadhu Farms

Welcome to our Organic Cacao Farm!

Greetings from our lush 22-acre farm nestled in the heart of Dakshina Kannada! We're excited to invite passionate individuals to join our farm and delve into the world of organic Cacao cultivation and chocolate making. After a fulfilling career in corporate Bangalore, I followed my passion and embarked on this journey to reconnect with the land and create something sustainable.

Volunteer Intake Schedule:

We welcome volunteers twice a month, on the 1st and 15th of each month. This allows us to create a focused and enriching experience for our volunteers while ensuring that our farm operations continue smoothly. Volunteers have the flexibility to choose their duration of stay, whether it's 15 days, 30 days, or even longer, allowing for a customized and immersive experience on our farm.

Fixed Monthly Schedule:

We have exciting activities planned each month to enhance your experience:

Trekking Adventures: Join us on the 3rd Sunday of every month for a thrilling trek through the picturesque landscapes surrounding our farm. Explore the natural beauty of [Your Host Location] and connect with fellow volunteers in this adventurous journey.

Weekend Surfing: Unwind and catch some waves during the weekends with our surfing sessions. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced surfer, the nearby beach provides the perfect backdrop for a fun and relaxing weekend activity.

What We Offer:

At our farm, you'll experience the magic of sustainable agriculture and chocolate production. Here's what you can expect:

Daily Farm Activities: Immerse yourself in the day-to-day operations of our farm. From harvesting Cacao pods at our friend's farm to fermenting, drying, and processing the beans into chocolate, you'll be an integral part of this journey.

Educational Initiatives: As a member of our family, you'll also engage with our educational trust. Volunteers are encouraged to interact with underprivileged children, fostering learning and creativity within the community.

Cultural Immersion: Experience the vibrant local culture and traditions. Depending on the season, you might witness traditional folk dance and drama. We organize local sightseeing trips and our farm is conveniently located near the beach.

Skill Development: Learn the art of chocolate making, get your hands dirty planting cocoa trees, and assist with growing our own vegetables and fruits.

Sadhu farm is a great place if you want to make friends with new people and it lets us know the culture of many people .host Mayoor is really amazing i enjoyed the discussions we often had during our breaks and he also helps us by guiding us abouts and arounds of the place

The farm would've been a much better place if there were more volunteers (atleast that's what I heard from a 2nd time volunteer saying that his first experience was much better) and keep in mind that it WILL be exhausting. Especially during my time (mid may) it was hard to work even during the days when the work was minimum. And because of shortage of people, even if the tasks were small it was scattered throughout the day so personally for me I didn't get enough rest and I could feel my fatigue building up towards the end. I did meet amazing people here but it was exhausting(the weather too)

I had a positive experience at the farm, however, I left earlier as the weather was quite hot to do farm tasks.

The host is friendly and he will make sure you have a great time at the farm
