I had a good experience.
The hours and days off were respected; the tasks were based on helping in the kitchen, washing utensils, folding sheets, and cleaning the rooms.
Breakfast was included, but Oswaldo offered me dinner on several occasions! I really appreciate that!
In addition, he also brought us to see the celebrations of a nearby town! I was also given the opportunity to help at a school! The only thing I would highlight is that it is a very quiet place, in my opinion; even so, if you’re looking to disconnect and rest, it can be a very good experience!

I had an excellent experience volunteering at the hostel. The communication with the team was always very good, and there was an atmosphere of respect, trust, and good energy. The accommodation was very good and the activities are varied, simple, and with schedules that respect free time. The location is excellent, a few steps from the beach, with incredible sunsets. I also enjoyed the coworking space and the common areas, ideal for resting or working. In addition, the sector is very safe. Without a doubt, I recommend this volunteering. Very good volunteering experience, the hostel is nice, they respect the shifts, Don Oswaldo helped me earn some extra money, good food, the beach is right in front and the town is nice, Don Oswaldo is a flexible person, and I have to thank him for the invitations to go out and learn more about Manta; he treated me to a delicious hamburger 🍔 at an elegant restaurant; we went out with guests and another volunteer, greetings to Diana, a very active and responsible girl. I recommend volunteering there.

I have very mixed feelings about my stay here. on arrival you read a long document with rules, where it states that volunteering is just another way to pay for your stay and that everybody, no matter what type of payment they use, shall be treated equally during their stay. it did not feel that way. all guests rooms had AC and en suite bathrooms, while mine was upstairs, exposed to the sun with only a fan. it was also dirty (hair, dirt, trash in the shelves) when i arrived, despite no one else staying in it. the shared bathroom was downstairs in the common area with little privacy. also dirty.
