This experience was enriching for us because we could apply our knowledge of the English and Spanish languages in class, as well as community care and social work. We participated in many community events, during which we learned a lot about the area and the people. We met great people during our time doing the work exchange, including Oswaldo and Marcela. They are a great host team and were extremely helpful and accommodating. They gave us an experience well beyond the bare minimum that shaped our view of what Ecuador has to offer.

Upon our arrival to Ecuador, we were welcomed by one of Oswaldo's other volunteers, Miguel, with whom we would have many great experiences with. Oswaldo was very welcoming and was a great host that took all of our accommodations into account to ensure our comfort and to make sure our experience was the best it could be. He went above and beyond with many things and we enjoyed our experience here very much. We learned a lot about the environment around Santa Marianita and got to fully immerse ourselves in the culture. At the school, the experience was very rewarding where we were able to teach

I really enjoyed my stay at the hostel. Everyone was very kind and helpful. Oswaldo really made sure we were having a good time and felt comfortable. The place is also really great and the beach is very close by so it's a very relaxing environment :)

My stay here was amazing! The beach is lovely, the hostel is so nice and the overall vibe is very relaxed and calm. Perfect if you are looking for a reset and to ground yourself and de-stress. Super friendly host and overall a great experience! Would recommend 10/10

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I had the most wonderful time volunteering here. The team became my second family and the hostel really felt like a home away from home. Oswaldo makes sure that the volunteers are having fun and enjoying themselves. I was supposed to stay for 2 weeks and I ended up staying for nearly a month. I was so sad to leave and I would have stayed even longer if I could have. I have made some amazing memories in Santa Marianita as well as some friends for life. I will be back!! Muchísimooo gracias Oswaldo y Jery for making me feel so welcome ❤️❤️❤️
