Starry Lake & Toronto
We are a family of 4- Mom - Kat, Dad James, with our 2 young adults in the house, Sage and Reed. We have a nice place to live in Toronto and we all love escaping to the Gorgerous Canadian Wilderness every chance we get. I expect that volunteering with us will be fun because you will get to join in to our family dynamics and to discover both the city and the amazing Starry Lake Dark Sky Oasis - an eco retreat we have been developing since 2020. google "Starry Lake Dark Sky Oasis" for loads of pics and videos
We are looking for someone who has lots of energy and enthusiasm for cool projects. We ourselves have far too many creative ideas so we need hands to help get things DONE... We are world travelers and nature lovers who love talking to people and exchanging ideas and stories. We all love music and theatre, and we are into healthy activities like saunas cold plunges ( if you come in winter there are plenty of COLD options LOL). Volunteering with us will be part work, part fun, and part FREE time to go explore the areas around Toronto and beyond. We love sharing the great aspects of our city and country.

I couldn't be happier that I had the opportunity to stay with Kat and her family. I had the chance not only to stay in Toronto but also to spend time at their home away from home, the home. Kat is an amazing person with a truly unique perspective on the world, and I'm grateful for the many interesting and thought-provoking conversations we shared. If you're still considering whether you should apply, absolutely go for it. You definitely won't regret it! :)

This was the most UNIQUE and SPECIAL volunteering experience I've done so far. Kat gave me a list of things to do and explained everything, it was always very clear. We spent some time in the home (GREAT EXPERIENCE, going into the home after the sauna at 10pm was the best) They also cook really delicious. I'm so grateful I got to experience Toronto and the wilderness of Ontario with them. Kat and James were the best hosts and you're so lucky if they accept you. They're so kind, lovely, fun, intelligent and it's so interesting to chat with them in any time. Thanks also to Reed and Bonnie.
