Stone and Oak

I am in the southwest of France, in the countryside about 3.5 kilometres from Montricoux; a small village 1 hour north of Toulouse and 30 minutes north of Montauban (82).
The work is often done together. The distribution of tasks and working hours is decided as we go, according to the weather and the progress of the work and what I may have been able to accomplish in the meantime.
I have renovations to do: work in an outbuilding and in the attic. There are many brambles and dead trees to clear. A few improvements to the raised beds in my vegetable garden. Maybe a stone terrace to finish.

For daily tasks around the house: cooking, cleaning, that is also to be done, often together, outside the 4 hours of daily on-site work.

It is necessary that you are physically fit because I can have an intense pace.

But I also take time to show you my region and my activities if you are interested; every week traditional dances, intuitive singing, Qigong, sometimes concerts, shows, evenings or hikes with friends.

I have bicycles that I could lend you if you are sporty because I am not in a flat region.

My property surrounded by nature, it's a peacefull atmosphere. I live sustainably.
It's best to me to make home food, so i canned also with my fruits, vegetables, meat.
I like hike , go on culturals events (music or dance festivals) with my friends and share my way of life with the volonteers. I am retired; so i like spend time to renove my house and my garden.

I had a great time with Christine, the area was beautiful and it was great to meet her friends. She doesn't eat very much and she doesn't eat a lot of protein either so I was pretty hungry. The work wasn't too difficult but being hungry made it a little more challenging. I would be prepared to get yourself some snacks. Other than that I had a wonderful time, and I felt welcomed from the start.

Christine and everyone staying with her were infinitely welcoming to me!! It was such a privilege to eat such healthy food while also being a part of the people who contribute to that food's growth. I was so comforted to see the community that Christine supports - in my personal experience with the women I know in my culture it's been rare to see so many female friendships last so long. I respect these women I met so very much for their ever strong playfulness and curiosity, thank you to Christine for introducing me to them along with the young girls I met of course!!!
Thank you <3

I loved my experience with Christine. She lives in a beautiful place, she has beautiful cats and a beautiful heart! I loved when she took us to her dancing classes, where we danced the traditional French dance!

She also took us to amazing places near her village, we visited castles and rivers !!

I would not say that the language is a barrier, since she makes a huge effort to understand us, with lots of dictionaries at her house… besides this, she is the best French listener hahaha, since she can understand all of my “wrong French”. I loved this. God bless you, Christine.

It was an absolute pleasure to spend time with someone as wonderful as Christine! I experienced unforgettable moments during this journey. Christine is a truly kind and caring person, always willing to help and offer support whenever needed. She is also flexible, understanding, and very easy to get along with. I am very grateful for the opportunity to have met her and worked with her. Thank you for making this experience so special!

Christine is a very kind person and an amazing host. Her place is just as calm and peaceful as she is and Im very grateful that I could live with her for a little while. From the first minute I felt very welcome and though out the whole stay Christine took very good care of me. I got to meet some of her amazing friends and she took me to see many nearby villages. The food was always delicious, hours as agreed - and I learned soo much! Yes, knowing french is an advantage, but I had an amazing time and I dont speak french at all! Overall I had a great experience! I recommend this stay 100%!!!
