Danny and Bee are truly wonderful hosts and kind people. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable, both at their place and in Vietnam in general. They are always willing to help you in any situation where you need assistance, and they strive to do things correctly and are receptive. Teaching at the school is fun, although my best memories are of our outings together exploring interesting spots in the city, listening to Danny's explanations or chatting with our Vietnamese hosts. Tuy Hoa is a small, unluxurious city, but I hope everyone has a pleasant time here.

Thanks for the wonderful time volunteering!
Danny & Bee have put a lot of effort into the well-being of the volunteers. Although they had so much to do, we were able to do 2 excursions and learned some about the history and religion. I was allowed to use the motorcycle and home gym, which was great, because the house is located outside the city.
The work is fun and you learn a lot about flexibility and social interaction!
The small town is perfect to authentically get to know Vietnamese culture.

If you are looking for a quiet beach life, Tuy Hoa is a great place for that! I am grateful for the Vietnamese volunteers who showed us around. However the work is not what I expected. It can be quite monotone and repetitive. Sometimes we are asked to film ourselves and the students (30+) on our phone and ask the same questions over and over again. The kids just recite things they learned by heart. The times I enjoyed were with teacher Nhi who was a Viet volunteer, I felt like we were a team and there was a bit more teaching and participation.

Dear Lalaina, thank you for your feedback. Sunny House is hosted by a team, and we delivered the experience we described. Nhi, Dung and Thoa were clearly introduced as Local Hosts, not volunteers. They were selected, trained and funded by us to support meals, outings and daily life. Saying the hosts were not involved overlooks their real effort and care. We never promised that only Danny and Bee would personally host you.

The house and the room are very good, the working hours and days off are respected.
The kids at the school are charming, but the work for me was a bit repetitive and I didn't feel I was really contributing.
The communication with the hosts at the start was almost non-existent, they work a lot and don't share much with the volunteers, my days were very good anyway with the rest of the girls in the house, and Dany's family is lovely.
Both hosts are kind and willing to help with whatever you need, but they are a little cold.

Dear Romina, just a quick reminder, the amazing trips ( both natural and cultural ) and cooking time and workshops with the young university Vietnamese students as our trainee hosts, as well as the housekeeper to facilitate your comfortable stay didn't happen out of thin air, all come from our pockets and Instructions and training, thank you for your time.

It was a great experience, the place of the homestay is lovely, clean (close to the beach) and we were a lot of volunteers at the same time, wich really made the experience! The work hours are as described, however I would have preferred a bit more communication about the tasks and more space to get to know the kids! The two Vietnamese volunteers was lovely, and they brought us places and made us feel welcome❤️ We didn't spend as much time with Danny and Bee as I had imagined, but overall super experience!

My dear friend, may be you forget, the young Vietnamese girls weren't volunteers like you, they were hosts recruited and instructed and funded by us to take care of u and catered to your need and show you our hospitality and culture as per my instructions. Authentic Vietnamese experience is what we delivered either with me or other Vietnamese.
