Tanzania With Kenny

Why Volunteer With Me?

Choose my place if you want more than just a volunteer experience. Here, you can live with a local host, experience everyday life in Arusha, meet Tanzanian people, enjoy local food, and take part in meaningful community projects.

You’ll also have the opportunity to explore Tanzania with me through local experiences and safari trips.

I want every volunteer to feel welcome, learn something new, make genuine connections, and leave Tanzania with great memories.

Come to help, stay to connect, and leave with a piece of Tanzania in your heart.

Hi, I’m Keneth, but you can call me Kenny. I’m a Tanzanian based in Arusha, where I work as a volunteer coordinator, local host and safari guide.

I love meeting people from around the world, sharing Tanzanian culture, food and everyday life, and helping visitors feel at home. I also organize and guide safari experiences, helping travelers discover Tanzania’s wildlife, nature and local communities.

For me, it’s about more than travelling it’s about connecting with people, sharing experiences and creating memories together.

Come as a visitor, leave as a family.

Don’t just visit Tanzania, live Tanzania!

Karibu, Hakuna Matata Tanzania!🇹🇿

My experience the project was wonderful! the project and Heaven always made sure I felt comfortable and welcome. Heaven cooks delicious food and the house is spacious and cozy. In our free time we shared many great moments both in Arusha and beyond, including parts of daily life that allowed me to have a truly authentic experience. The children and teachers at the school are amazing and greet you with open arms. Together we played, painted and participated in classes. We even went on a safari together at Arusha National Park!

It was an amazing trip, being able to stay with a host family is already something incredible, but at the project we feel welcomed. He is attentive to what you need and always offers new experiences. The school is also great; the group of female teachers is adorable and fully integrates you into the team. I loved this trip and this chance to share so many moments with these incredible people.

My experience in the project was surreal. So far one of the best trips of my life. the project and his partner are amazing, they did everything for me, took care of me during my stay. Even when I needed to wake up very early in the morning to da Safari, they had breakfast ready for me, so so lovely. He also used to accompany me to school and to the orphanage I was helping, and sor out any issues or pendencies I needed. The house where he lives is lovely, big, clean, hot water in the shower and comfortable beds! The kids and people are amazing, and they need a lot of help! ♥️

It has been an experience that has deeply marked me. At the Hovinais daycare, Flora, the teachers and the children convey values and a gratitude that reach your soul. Climbing Kilimanjaro made everything even more special, but without a doubt the most moving moment was the last day… they made me feel so loved that I left with a full heart. The house is idyllic, and Heaven and the project are incredible: close, generous and always willing to make you feel part of the culture and, above all, at home. I left in tears, but also with the certainty that I will return, there are places that become a home

The project and Hevenlight are absolutely wonderful. They make sure you are comfortable, safe, and well taken care of. Madame Flora and the kids at Hovinais Day Center are also amazing. The day center provides childcare (mainly for single mothers) enabling parents to find work or continue their education with the goal being they can support themselves and give their children a sustainable future. I feel very lucky to have been able to be a part of what they are doing here.
