Tenerife Climbing House
The Tenerife Climbing House is a hostel, climbing school, climbers hangout, climbing shop and climbing gear rental in one!
We are located in Villa de Arico, a village close to many of the best climbing spots on the island. Villa de Arico is the meeting point for local and international climbers and the beating heart of climbing in Tenerife.
We are a team of climbers: three climbing guides and one office manager from Tenerife. We founded in Tenerife a climbing school ten years ago and now we have a new project in the place where we live.
We have opened a hostel for all the fans of the mountain sports (climbing, trekking, canyoning, mountain bike,...) and we are open since December 2014.
In the house we have one thousend square meters garden, where we want to do organic farming for own consumption in the hostel, with bbc, terrace, bonfire place, a climbing wall, ...

I had a great experience in TCH. Elena is very welcoming and often around for a chat. Erik is eager to take you the hostel or bolting in the area. The location is beautifully located between many crags. The work for me involved gardening, helping with construction, painting, when the hostel was not too busy. If it's busier, you can sometimes go the hostel with the guests. It is good to know that summer is low season in the Canary Islands, which means that there won't be as many people in the hostel compared to winter. Overall good experience and might come back one day!

I can only say that I was given a very warm welcome! Elena and Erik and everyone who helps out at the hostel are super nice, friendly and warm-hearted people. The work is doable and Elena is super flexible when it comes to free time. You get to know so many great and nice people and even if you are new to the hostel, the people are very welcoming and show you everything. I learned a lot and definitely had one of the best times of my life!
