We are a laid back travelers' hostel located in Charleston, South Carolina. Charleston is known for it's history, beaches, beautiful views, and beautiful people. The hostel is in a historic home right in heart of Charleston! Our hostel is like a "home away from home" with gardens, artwork, music, porches, and love.

Our small staff consists of wonderful individuals who share a passion for travel and community. We are laid back and have a great sense of humor. The NotSo Hostel is undoubtedly the best work-trade opportunity available. It has become my home away from home. Vikki is so dedicated not only to making sure the hostel is the best it can be, but also warmly welcoming everyone with open arms.

I love the NotSo Hostel! The hours and tasks are more than fair, some weeks there are more in depth tasks, some weeks its just simple cleaning. The location of the hostel is perfect, and all of the staff here have quickly become like a family to me. I am so happy I chose to stay here, and I can't wait to come back in the future and see everyone again!

El Hostel está muy bien ubicado y tiene las instalaciones muy cómodas y limpias. Todos son muy amables y muy flexibles. Charleston es una hermosa ciudad y vivirla eb NotSo lo hace más fácil y cómodo... Gracias a todos por un tiempo de aprender y practicar mi inglés... Gracias por confiar en Mi. I feel so grateful that life brought me here, to this beautiful hostel with beautiful people in a magical city.
Thank you to all the Notso staff for being good to me. Thanks everyone especially to Vikki for making me feel home.
About the volunteering experience, I had to work 5 days a week in the mornings and pretty much cleaning and making beds, I had more than enough time to go around the city.
I don't know if I should write this here but I am happy to say that I will be staying 1 more month as a volunteer here, that's how much I like it❤
