We’re a medium-sized hostel located right in the heart of Oaxaca City — one of the most beautiful and colorful places in Mexico! Ticuchi is just a 5–10 minute walk from the city’s main attractions, restaurants, authentic local spots, and artisan markets. You’ll also find Oaxaca’s lively nightlife, with its bars, clubs, and mezcalerías, just around the corner.
We’re known for having the best pool in town, a friendly and laid-back atmosphere, and a social vibe that makes it easy to connect with travelers from all over the world.
Our volunteer program stands out for its flexibility, fun community, and cultural immersion! You can help at the bar, reception, or even contribute your creativity by helping with social media content and events to keep Ticuchi’s good vibes alive online and onsite.

I spent a month in the hostel and enjoyed the experience a lot. It has a super calm atmosphere, it's very well located in the center of Oaxaca and the time slots are relaxed. René is very flexible and I was able to enjoy free tours and some very comfortable facilities. I definitely recommend it if you're looking to get to know Oaxaca, its culture, and at the same time relax a bit.

The hostel was my first volunteering experience and definitely one I will always remember with a lot of affection. 💗 It helped me open my mind, step out of my comfort zone, and grow a lot on a personal level. The best part is the people and the community that forms; it really feels like a home. The place is beautiful, the jobs are simple, and the opportunities to earn some extra money help a lot. Maribel's memelas and Abraham's food are 10/10 😂❤️ and René is amazing. If it's your first volunteering experience, take a leap, it's totally worth it! 🤍

The hostel was a great experience, Rene helps you by adjusting your schedule, the place is comfortable, the activities are easy to do, I made very good friends, the place is super central, you can reach everywhere by walking. I had time for tours like Monte Albán and Hierve el Agua, and to embark on mini adventures like Puerto Escondido and San José. Thanks for everything at the hostel, in love with Oaxaca♡

My experience at the hostel helping with social media and at the reception was great. The care and attention from start to finish were always the best. I thank Rene for the opportunity and all the staff for being so kind; especially the Host, Maribel, and Abraham for their warm welcome in Oaxaca; they made me feel at home and showed me how to get around the city like a local. I would definitely do it again.

the workers and volunteers here are so sweet which truely makes the experience so amazing. they will never ask for extra work from you, they always make sure it’s a fair exchange. there’s activities everyday so that makes it fun when you’re there long term. the onlyyy thing is there isn’t too much to do in oaxaca, but you can take weekend trips to mazunte, puerto escondido, san jose del pacífico or other cities so you get multiple trips in one. definitely recommend🫶
