Tiki Camp

You love to be part of a team, spend your days outdoors, don’t mind physical work, love animals, are not afraid of cleaning, are responsible and caring. You have a good command of English.

We are social, kind and fun loving people. We work very hard and expect them same from our volunteers. We treat everyone with respect and love.

Fuerte abrazo :)

Nicki and Tirza were super kind and generous with everything. They have a lovely girl and the cutest animals. The camp is beautiful and the accommodation was great.
The work itself was a bit repetitive. We started by feeding the animals / taking Lucy for a walk. Then cleaning: guest’s accommodations, bathrooms, kitchen, etc.
After work, the evenings were very enjoyable. There’re beaches nearby where we could walk or bike to. We did our own lunch, usually wraps / toasts but Nicki cooked most dinners, always super delicious.
Overall a great experience! Thank you Nicki, Tirza and Otti 😚✨

Our stay was very nice. Nicki and Tirza are amazing people, very thoughtfull and respectful. The place is beautiful, it has the farm with the animals and the small woods where they have the campsite with all the accomodations. The work is easy but it's like a routine you need to follow and it can take a little bit to get used to the tasks. The landscapes around the farm are beautiful and the beach is nearby. You can borrow bicycles which is really nice. The food is just incredible, Nicki is an amazing cook and all the meals are vegan/vegetarian. Thank you Tirza, Nikki and Otti for having us 😀

I really enjoyed this experience, I volunteered with my boyfriend, Nicki and Tirza made us feel accepted and at home from the first day, we enjoyed nature, animals, meeting and learning about other cultures and lifestyles. If you have a project that you would like to do for tikicamp, they are open to listening to you and doing it. we are happy for our summer season that we live in tikicamp!! If at any time we can return, we would certainly do it because now we feel that we have new friends in tikicamp😊

Thanks Sol. Just to clear this up and make sure there is no misunderstanding for others: There is an easy bus connection with the Flixbus to the island directly from Copenhagen airport and many other cities. We always pick up and bring everyone to the bus stop. In Sol's particular case she decided to leave a few days earlier than agreed and chose a very early connection. We had offered her to leave another day and pay a hostel for her, but she declined. On the day she left - despite the time - I got up at 5:30 in the morning to take her to the bus, but instead of informing me, she had already left. Volunteering: it's important for anyone to remember that you are not just a 'volunteer', you are a Worldpacker, a Workawayers. You don't volunteer or work for free, but in exchange for accommodation and food. We make you part of our family and look after everyone very well. We offer a standard sized European breakfast and lunch, and there are certainly enough options and variety to get full. Everything we offer, and expect for anyone coming here are very clear in our profile, so we are a little surprised and disappointed by Sol's review as we also spoke beforehand on a video call to make sure she knew what everything.
