Villa QuitaRoquita

Our home is located in Anna, a charming village surrounded by nature in the interior of Valencia, Spain. We already live here, but we are in the middle of renovating the house and the land, so we offer an authentic and hands-on experience for those who want to learn, collaborate, and be part of a real transformation.

What makes this place special is that it’s not a tourist or commercial project — it’s our home. We are looking for people who genuinely want to share, contribute, and grow with us. We offer accommodation in a comfortable caravan, with access to showers, a washing machine, transportation, and three home-cooked meals a day.

We speak several languages (Spanish, English, and German), so communication is no problem. Tasks are easy, some like watering trees or maintaining the garden, care animals, and so.

It’s a great place if you’re looking for peace, connection with the land, and a more meaningful exchange than just a passing volunteer experience.

We are Rafa and Joha — a couple building our home and our life together in the countryside of Anna, Spain. Rafa is Spanish and lived in Germany for several years; he’s the one with the most knowledge and experience in construction and leads most of the hands-on work. Joha is Colombian and an English teacher, so communication is always easy and warm — we also speak Spanish, Italian, and German.

We are not a business or a formal organization; this is a personal project, and we truly welcome volunteers as part of our home. You’ll be treated with respect, kindness, and honesty. We believe in creating a calm, supportive environment where people can feel at ease, contribute meaningfully, and also enjoy the natural surroundings.

You’ll have your own space in a cozy caravan, daily home-cooked meals, time to relax, and open communication. We value good vibes, teamwork, and mutual support — and we’re always happy to share what we know, learn from you, and enjoy the journey together.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION!!!
We’re just looking for people who has a Schengen visa or be an European citizen.
We’re not able to help you in your visa application, so if you don’t have this requirement please don’t apply.

Rafa and Joha are working a lot on their project, their house and yard are under construction. Experience in masonry and culinary skills is required. There is a caravan available for sleeping, as the project runs on solar energy, at night a portable battery, a light, a portable stove are needed to heat something at night and in the morning. They have a puppy, a Belgian Malinois, named Coco; he has a lot of energy and enjoys going for walks.

Rafa and Joha are two wonderful and very hardworking people; I was blown away by the work they have done with their house and all the space around it, you are immediately wrapped in the energy they have, thank you very much for the laughs and the food (Joha cooks surprisingly well), the 10-person caravan, the stunning views of the mountain, you truly have all the privacy and intimacy in the world, truly amazing for what you are creating and for everything you want to do! I hope very soon to be able to see them and hear from you! Recommended 150%! NOTE: The system does not let me put 6 stars! :(

Experience among pepper fields. Definitely enriching.
Away from the comforts, it helps to reconnect with nature.
Johana is really nice, she has excellent manners and is a born leader!
You definitely need a spirit of adaptability, but for adventurous people I recommend it.

To highlight that in this experience there has been an overvaluation on our part and an incoherence/nonsense/ingratitude on Yara's part (profile).
We appreciate that you have educated us in this aspect to be more cautious and prepared for people like you, thank you.
Football, songs, videos, jokes, laughter, and more were the things we shared and they led us to set aside a broken entrance door, a black rose pulled up from the root, broken new tiles, and more.

Johana and Rafa were really nice all the time, the activities involved physical work and some sun hours, which I truly loved helping with but a bit of dirt and effort involved, also their puppy Coco made me have a really good time, with lots of energy and love to share, they use solar energy, so by night there's not many charging points or hot water in the shower, I definitely recommend to take the experience in Villa Quitarroquita, they have a piece of my heart with all their hospitality and friendly communication, so sad I had to leave before the date planned
