I had an amazing time volunteering at the hostel! I was warmly welcomed from day one and felt like part of the team. Tasks like reception, housekeeping, or painting were simple, and scheduling was super flexible. The vibe is totally relaxed, the food delicious, and the team always open to ideas. Plus, the location is unbeatable for hikes, waterfalls, and yoga with a view. I saw so much of the island, learned about the Azores, and met wonderful locals. Big thanks to Andrea, Jabez, and the crew! Definitely coming back! :)

I spent around three weeks volunteering at the hostel and I had the best time! This was my first world packers experience and first time traveling alone outside of the US, so I was a bit nervous, but Andrea and Jabez both made me feel very welcomed. The tasks varied day to day, which was nice as I was learning new things. I also had a lot of time to explore the island, meet the locals and people from all over. Overall, I had a great time and highly recommend!!!

This was my first experience as worldpackers and honestly I couldn't have made a better choice. From the start the guys from the hostel made me feel like part of a family, where dialogue, sociability and understanding are the order of the day. I learned several small construction, repair and problem-solving techniques and I could express myself where it was possible. I tasted the culture of this small island made of a few people but all incredible and with great stories to tell. And then the place is an authentic paradise. Would do it again :)
