I had a great time at the lodge 🌴 Freddy is really a great host, always super kind and attentive to the volunteers needs 🤍 I worked on retouching mural paintings, which was very fun ! I always had the materials I needed and was able to follow my own schedule, which was very pleasant 🎨 the accommodation is also very comfortable and private, which is definitely appreciated :) The only detail I'd bear in mind for future volunteers who want to apply is that there's no shared kitchen, which can be a bit tricky !! Thanks for this great week, 100% recommend it 🤍

You know when people say that this host was the best etc. Well sometimes it's hard to believe those reviews, but I really mean it here! From the first moment I arrived it felt like a second family welcoming me. Freddy and my coworkers would constantly share food/ stories/ their culture with me. I probably tired Freddy with how much stuff I was asking for haha but he always came through. He even took us to Belize on a weekend! For the creative part I really really enjoyed the freedom I had with what I make and the hours as well. The accommodation and the natural beauty was superb as well.

Fantastic place with a slow pace of life and volunteering that genuinely matches slow living.
9/10 only issue being no kitchen, tiny fridge to share

I arrived with enthusiasm and left with a heart full of memories for a lifetime. My first volunteer experience was unforgettable. The lodging is an environmentally responsible space, full of art and nature. Freddy is a great host; he explains things to you with patience, helps you and resolves any doubts. I volunteered as a painter 🎨; it is magical to bring spaces back to life with your creativity, surrounded by the beauty of Mahahual 🌊 A dream come true 🌈 The schedules were flexible. I met wonderful people! I’m leaving knowing that I have a home far from home ❤️ Thank you for everything 🩵🦋
