My experience in the community, Madiun, was truly unforgettable! Through volunteering, I discovered Indonesian culture, learned about batik, joined community health check-ups, and experienced authentic local life. Madiun has so much to offer and deserves more recognition from international travellers. Special thanks to Mr. Agus and his family for welcoming me with so much kindness and giving me something I never expected to find: a family in Indonesia. ❤️ I really enjoyed my stay! I highly recommend this experience to anyone seeking meaningful cultural exchange and genuine human connections!

Oh my gosh, where do I even begin!? This experience was so much more than your typical volunteer opportunity. It was a complete cultural immersion, where every single day presented new and unexpected opportunities. Not only did I get to learn about Batik, but I also got to make tempeh, attend dance classes, practice english with local school and government groups, visit nearby towns, eat delicious home cooked meals - I even had the honour of attending the Independence Day celebrations wearing a traditional kebaya! I still can't believe it was all real. Thank you for a life changing experience!

Thank you so much, Bella! You were truly amazing to have around. You connected so easily with the local people and joined in so many activities, even the ones that were physically and mentally challenging. We really enjoyed having you with us and would be more than happy to welcome you back anytime — especially if you come with your family!

Wishing you lots of happiness and success in everything you do. Keep being your wonderful self, Bella!

I'm incredibly grateful for my time in Madiun. Madiun is a wonderful place where it's easy to connect with people. Everyone is so kind. If you're looking to experience the local culture and community events, June and July are the perfect months to visit. During my time here, I learned how to make batik, played traditional Javanese music, traditional dance and experienced so much more. I left a little piece of my heart in the community. A special thank you to Ms. Yuniar for welcoming me into her family. The people here have truly become my second family.

I had the very good time staying in this beautiful family. I felt very safe, welcomed and free. I learned so much about local culture, batik, music, martial art, crochet, about food, about recycling, waste bank, about history of Indonesia, and about how is a class in elementary school. And the real life to local people. Everyone was incredibly kind and sweet with me. Thank you so much again. If you want understand the life in Jawa in Indonesia, the impact to we can have with our waste, what we can do with, visit artisanals factories and the life in Jawa, it's a perfect place.

Had a incredible time here. For me, it really didn't felt like a volunteering, cause Batik was amazing, like a therapy and the other activities were enjoyable as well, and you get a lot of free time to relax and explore the city. But what it makes it special here are the people, they are really kind and caring, and makes you feel like part of their family. Thank you for this amazing experience and all the yummy foods!
