During two and a half months, I had the opportunity to volunteer at the hotel, which was an extremely enriching experience. Vanina is a very attentive person, always available to help and support whenever needed, showing great dedication to both the project and the volunteers. I would also like to highlight two very special individuals: Jean, who has a genuinely kind heart and is responsible for the gardening, and Fernando, who was my partner in most activities and was always helpful and cooperative I highly recommend this volunteer experience!!!

The experience was long and very good. The place is beautiful, the people who work there are very charismatic and sociable. The person in charge prepared moments for us to have fun all together at the hotel. And so, there are many memories I keep of the hotel: a secret place in the mountains. It is some distance from the town of Las Galeras, where there are many beaches with easy access and activities to do. The tasks are at the hotel's small restaurant and bar, serving guests and passersby. Something very easygoing and comfortable. The room is super comfortable!

The hotel sits on a beautiful hill with direct views of the sea. Regarding its location, it's about a 10-minute ride by motorcycle taxi from the beach. It has been my first volunteer experience with Worldpackers and I couldn't have chosen better. Vanina is a charm, as are the resort staff. You will always have a good time on your shift, and I feel that whoever goes will learn quite a bit about both Dominican culture and tourism. Moreover, the beaches of Las Galeras are INCREDIBLE, and although some of them require a boat ride, it's well worth it.
