This was my very first volunteer experience and it was awesome! Online I applied to the "Dream Up" hostel but ended up staying at Hidden Garden Hotel which was about a 20 minute walk further away from the city centre, which I found out about upon arrival, but the location of the Hotel was great to be able to see the less touristy side of Cusco and allowed me to explore more and see parts of Cusco that i probably wouldn't have seen! I don't speak spanish but the other volunteers were amazing at helping with translating and assisting when needed! Overall it was a great learning experience!

I loved my 2-week volunteering experience here at the hostel Cusco. Maria and Fernando are so kind, and so are the other volunteers. I really appreciate how patient they were with me when I talk in spanish. I learned so many new skills, especially at the reception, and I truly enjoyed interacting with the guests as well. The workload was manageable, and I honestly wish I could have stayed longer. 💛

Overall, it was a good experience. The accommodation was very comfortable and the atmosphere pleasant. As a detail to keep in mind, the volunteering tasks were carried out at another hostel, so you had to walk there to complete the required hours. Breakfast was included at that other hostel, although on days off I did not go to the other hostel just to have breakfast. Apart from those details, the experience was positive and I recommend the place.

I recommend this volunteer program because Cusco is the Inca capital; there is a lot to learn about its culture, the historic center is huge, and other towns and sacred temples like Machu Picchu. There are endless activities that you can walk to or take by bus.

The DreamUp Hostel is shared with other volunteers or guests, so you meet people from different parts of the world 🌍 the beds are great for resting and the bathroom is shared, everything is clean, great.

If you stay at DreamUp they don't give you breakfast 🥣 as promised in the app, there is another bigger Hostel and there they do give you 🥣
