Join Veluvana, a contemplative retreat space in Fresnedillas. We need help with gardening, small repairs, and cooking for our retreatants. You’ll collaborate 25 hours a week (5h/day), and you organize your own schedule. We will be on silentretreat from 4-8 Dec, 23-30 Dec, and 31 Dec to 5 Jan. Ideally, candidates should stay for at least one of these retreats. No prior practice of meditation is required but a spiritual inclination is recommended.

If you get the chance to be a volunteer here I would highly suggest you do. the host is a beautiful and peaceful place that I will cherish forever. Nuno and everyone that I met here were so welcoming, kind and hospitable. I always felt comfortable and in good hands. The work was light and flexible, and just a 1 hour bus away is the city of Madrid that I got to explore on the weekend. Thank you so much again. I am forever grateful to have experienced this place and to have met the people I did.

Me encantó mi experiencia en el anfitrión. Fue un lugar perfecto para desconectar de la rutina y volver a conectar conmigo mismo. Tuve la libertad de trabajar en cosas que realmente me gustan, lo que hizo todo aún más especial. Nuño y su familia son personas increíbles, muy genuinas y hospitalarias. Me hicieron sentir bienvenido desde el primer momento y fue un placer conocerlos. También tuve tiempo para conocer Madrid es un viaje de 1 hora desde ahí, tuve la posibilidad de ver un partido del equipo más grande de España, el Real Madrid. Sin duda una experiencia hermosa a la que volvería.
