Volunteers contribute 900,000 COP/week, covering 21 meals, 7 nights in a 4-bed dorm, and weekly activities (permaculture, salsa, yoga, Colombian percussion, bonfire and birdwatching). Work alongside our biologist supporting species inventories, biodiversity monitoring, field observations, scientific outreach and environmental education. Volunteers may also propose their own projects.

We're looking for biologists, ecologists, or nature enthusiasts to help identify plants, fungi, and wildlife with our local biologist. Volunteers may also help turn species inventories into educational materials for community outreach. Field or research experience is a plus.

My friend and I stayed at the lodge for one week and absolutely loved it. I really enjoyed the 21 included meals, all the activities (including but not limited to birdwatching, mushroom tours, night walks, aquatic fauna monitoring), and all the staff (big highlight is divine Juanita) were so lovely. Everyone is just FANTASTIC and so at peace in this beautiful slice of paradise. I ran 1:1 English classes with Mauricio, Jhon and two of the staff members' children. The work was straightforward and rewarding. The river running through the lodge is just PERFECTION and I miss it already. 100% recommend.

I had two amazing weeks here! Great atmosphere, beautiful surroundings and super kind staff! The tasks in the garden are easy and the guys are willing to tell you all about it (in spanish :) I would also definitely recommend taking spanish classes at Ritmo. Thank you Jesse and team!

I loved staying in the lodge. The staff were nice, everyone was keen on organising everthing so that everybody enjoyed themselves to the fullest. The food is great! The beds are great! The work is great! I learnt a lot about farming and gained hands on experience on how things are dealt with in the garden. I loved caring for the chickens the most๐ On the last working day I got to enjoy a language exchange and a Salsa class.๐ If i were to name any bad moments is that one of the staff members was hitting on me and found it very difficult to take a no. Anyways, I would gladly return!โค๏ธ

I was supposed to stayed only one week but extended my stay for two more days because it really was wonderful. The work is super easy and amazing to be outside in contact with nature. 10/10 for the food ๐

I was only here for one week but I wish I'd stayed longer!! It was such a great place to volunteer and the work on the game was so varied and interesting. Also a great place to learn and practice Spanish as the lessons are great. The farm is beautiful and lovely to be able to swim in the nearby river to cool off after working in the morning. Lots of activities organised around the farming but also lots of time to relax. Great value and I would really recommend!!
