The Experience

Hi, my name is William. I’m a sound engineer and language teacher, and I’m starting a small community living project in Las Palmas. After traveling for the past 7 years, I decided to stop in this beautiful island to renovate an old Spanish house near the beach. Work tipically can include painting, cleaning, diy etc.. Creative ideas welcome! The project is community-focused with shared dinners and activities (hiking, surfing, camping etc..)

My friends and I spent a month here, an incredible experience ! I never thought I’d get so attached to the other volunteers 🥹 The manager is super friendly and often organizes group activities. The atmosphere is amazing, it feels just like a family. As for the work, we were beginners, but everyone was always patient with us on the job site, where we actually picked up some new skills, haha.

Thanks for this wonderful experience 🙏🏾

The experience was amazing!
I met some great people, and the activities we did together really helped us connect and build strong relationships.
The work environment was also great. I always received clear instructions, and everything was handled in a relaxed, understanding, and supportive way. I really enjoyed the whole experience!

It has been an amazing experience, the best volunteered i i have had. I felt welcomed since the first day and the environment has been like being in a big family. The volunteers were great, nice, funny and caring.
The job is easy and doing so few hours allows you to explore the island, go surfing, hiking, stay to the beach, ho partying. They have skates and surfboards in common. The accomodation was cute and the li then well equipped to. I wish I had stayed longer. I hope to come back in the future. Thank you so much!

I had a really great time at hosta la Vista. It was fun trying new skills to renovate the home. I believe when it's done it's gonna be phenomenal. It's in a wonderful location near the bus terminal, the beach to grocery stores. I was fortunate enough to be among lovely travellers from around the world who were open and comfortable to make my stay memorable one. We enjoyed games, trips to the beach, karaoke, shared meals, while having enough time for yourself if you need. The tasks enable enough time to explore the island.
