Due to the serious illness of a good friend, who was accompanying my project of crating a nice guesthouse at this place, the situation got stucked. I need muscle power for renovating, turning the rocky garden into something more fertile, cutting trees, create beautiful outdoor places etc.. Cornelia is a very generous lady. During my stay, she always made sure I felt comfortable and well taken care of. The work itself was not tiring at all, and mostly involved helping her renovate her house. She also has two lovely dogs who are always there to keep you company. Overall, it was a lovely experience, and I really appreciated her kindness and hospitality!

Cornelia is a fantastic host who somehow makes everything look much easier than it actually is. She does her best to make volunteers feel comfortable, and the animals and plants are clearly part of the hosting team too, but their work ethic is questionable.
She's also an amazing cook, so I spent a suspicious amount of my time eating delicious food. We did some woodworking, had a lovely time, and time went so fast!
A genuinely great person, and a pleasure to live with behind the blue doors. I went there as a volunteer and left there as a friend.

My month at the guest house completely exceeded my expectations! The place is absolutely beautiful (even more in person than in photos!), but Cornelia and her pets made it special. She is an open-minded person, an amazing cook, and incredibly hospitable—taking me to the capital, the beach, and her friends' farm, which I appreciate from the bottom of my heart. I grew so attached and enjoyed every single day. I am deeply happy to have contributed to the projects and learned so much. This is a story I will never forget. Thank you for everything! 🫶
