The Experience

We are looking for a motivated person to help us daily at our farm and our guinguette. The tasks are varied: kitchen and bar assistance, harvesting vegetables in the greenhouses, planting, maintenance of outdoor spaces, cleaning and daily small tasks. It is general assistance, in a simple, friendly and very lively atmosphere, in step with the season and events.

The experience did not match the listing. We worked 8–9 hours daily on physically demanding tasks (cleaning, painting, pressure washing) instead of the ~5 hours and farm/cooking/bar/animal work described. I never got to work with animals despite asking multiple times. Accommodation and amenities were not as agreed, and some promises (meals, washing machine, bike) were not met. Communication felt difficult when raising concerns. I recommend clarifying expectations very carefully before accepting.

You stayed only two days, and I had explained before your arrival that the guinguette wasn't open yet. The 8 to 9 hours announced also included the trip to pick you up in Nantes and the Brittany stay that I covered. The washing machine was exceptionally unavailable, I admit it. I regret that your experience did not meet your expectations, but this review does not reflect the reality of those two days.

My experience at the house was very good. 🌱 It was amazing to get to know up close the farm's routine and to experience such an authentic and peaceful experience in contact with nature. The food is simply wonderful, with fresh products. The atmosphere is very pleasant, people are welcoming and there is a real concern for nature, healthy eating and the well-being of the animals.
