Staying at Danielle's taught me more than any other volunteering before. You get the chance to experience life like a local, she also took me to her Aikido and chorus practises. I worked independently a lot, which I really enjoyed and could manage my working time very flexibly. Especially when I worked with Arno I learned so many things, he is a great mentor! Everyone I met was incredibly kind and trail ride with the horses that I got to join was beautiful! I really recommend this ecxperience to everyone, just be aware that you should be confident and aware about your needs and skills :)

Danielle and her family welcomed me warmly. They were entirely flexible with my schedule and any plans I had made. I primarily chose this volunteer project for its agricultural and sustainable work, connection with animals, and language immersion. I am beyond grateful I got all of the above and more.
It is absolutely a simpler and grounded living experience which might be an adjustment for some. But if you come in with an open mind and heart. Everything and everyone will make it worthwhile.

I felt truly welcomed into Danielle's family. I had fun, I learned, and I stayed in close contact with animals, which was what I wanted most. I made plans with the family, such as going to the lake and the river, and I discovered the charm of Alsace and Strasbourg. I would definitely recommend it.
