The Experience

Join a heartfelt conservation project on Costa Rica's Pacific coast. Help protect sea turtles through nighttime patrols and hatchling releases, monitor birds as bioindicators of ecosystem health, and care for the land through permaculture, making compost, fertilizers, and natural repellents. There is no other project like this! You can truly feel Albas passion about birds, turtles, organic gardening and her dogs and chickens, and much more. She explains everything so you really can understand the purpose about it. I loved going to the lagoon in the early mornings, I helped also plant tomatoes and spinachs and with more tasks in the organic garden or changing sand in the hatchery. I never missed a sunset at the beach Ganadito, it is a magical and remote place. The food was so delicious. I cannot wait to see how it evolves, for me it is a true project of the heart I wont forget

What an amazing experience ! I recommand this project 300% ! This is exactly why I travel : meeting authentic people and making a real difference. Alba and Manuel are incredibly passionate and welcoming, and Manuel's family made us feel at home from day one. The bird monitoring trips at sunrise were unforgettable, and every day felt meaningful. If you want a genuine Costa Rican experience while helping wildlife conservation, don't hesitate. Authentic, meaningful, and inspiring. Thank you for everything, I wish you all the best, and please keep doing what you do with so much corazón! ❤️
