My stay with Desiree was very pleasant, she and her mother Hillary make me feel like part of the family. I felt comfortable and had my own space. It was my third Worldpackers experience and the tasks involved helping a bit with painting, which I enjoyed. Desiree is very flexible regarding work and days off. Thanks for everything! :)

I had a great time staying with Désirée and her mother Hillary🌷 Their home is really sweet and cozy, and it has everything you might need. The garden and animals are beautiful as well, and there are many spaces to rest and chill outside. We went swimming in a nearby lake and visited some lovely little towns around together. I also got to ride the bike around in the forest and to do some water skiing. The work wasn't that diverse, but for me it was alright because I found it calming. I would totally recommend staying at their place as they were my best hosts yet and are just generally great🙃

Desiree and her mom Hillary were the best hosts I could've asked for my first Worldpackers experience. They were unbelievably kind, generous, and thoughtful. Their farm was absolutely beautiful and I am lucky that I was able to stay there. This definitely inspired me to live more sustainably. I have no complaints about this experience and I would recommend the home to anybody.

I highly recommend that you sign up for this volunteer program. Desi and her mother are wonderful people; they taught me so much and were a huge help during my stay. There's a lot of flexibility to explore and do other activities, while still helping out with whatever is needed.

I came here to practice my German and experience the culture a bit more deeply. Désirée and her mom created a really beautiful place with lots of love for animals, calm energy, and just genuinely good people around. Hechthausen feels more like a little community where everyone supports each other and it almost feels like family.

The work was simple and clear, you can speak both English and German there, and everything felt super natural and easy. For me it honestly felt more like a peaceful little vacation than work :)

Really thankful for this experience. Only good memories ✨
