The Experience

Imagine a child who struggles to walk being given a safe place to receive physiotherapy. Imagine a child who cannot communicate easily being given the tools, patience and professional support to express themselves. Imagine a child with a disability entering a classroom designed specifically to meet their needs — where they are not excluded, forgotten or made to feel different. This is the future we want to build. Join us as we begin this journey.

This is a loving community that is doing amazing work in the Volta region. The hosts immediately welcomed me and made me feel part of the big family. They taught me how to cook Ghanaian dishes and brought me siteseeing in the region. At school, I acted as a teacher. The children are bright and hardworking and I hope I can visit Highgate International School again.
