I had an Incredible time on Johannes' farm, the work was enjoyable and Johannes is very good at catering to your strengths. The other volunteers were all lovely and it was impossible to feel truly alone despite the location. Whether we were exploring the surrounding area, going to a local event or just finding a quiet spot to relax in the shade there was always something to do. You find yourself counting down to your next meal where we all came together around good food and interesting conversations. I would highly reccomend Johannes' Farm to anyone looking for fun and to connect with nature

I loved my stay at Johannes' farm! The work was very manageable, and you can learn a lot from him about gardening and off-grid living. He's a very open, communicative, and patient person with the best and craziest stories to share. There's enough time and space to enjoy some time on your own in nature, but also plenty of activities to do, especially when there are other volunteers around. He took us to local markets, parties, his neighbours' place, and the river, which I really enjoyed. I would definitely recommend staying at the farm, and I'd happily come back :)

My girlfriend and I stayed on Johannes’ farm for 2 weeks and we learned a lot. It gave us a greater appreciation for sustainability and quality food. It’s inspired us to live healthier and more grounded moving forward. Additionally Johannes and other volunteers were very easy going , friendly , and had lots of knowledge to share .

I absolutely loved staying with Johannes! His farm is absolutely beautiful and a perfect getaway. He is also very knowledgeable and willing to share what he knows. He did a great job accommodating to certain interests when possible if there’s something in specific you’re looking for out of it! He also was a great communicator and introduced us/brought us along to events with friends/neighbors/markets/etc.. Good balance of socialization and total nature retreat! 101/10

The experience was overall amazing! I loved getting to know Johannes as well as the other volunteers and sweet animals. I left inspired and learned a lot about farming and living sustainably. He was respectful towards the hours we agreed on, and the food was super yummy and fresh.

The experience was a bit rough at times. It's about a 45 minute walk uphill to the nearest village, and there's no ATM there and not much to do. The mattress is old and uncomfortable, bedding was not washed, and I left completely covered in mosquito bites. It's very hot inside the bus as well during the summer.
