The Experience

I am looking for two female volunteers (British citizens) to assist with various tasks, including helping with homestay upkeep, teaching me English, and participating in the creation of photos and videos—such as acting in promotional content—to showcase tourist destinations on Cat Ba Island. Responsibilities also include writing content and scripts for the homestay’s social media platforms. I am seeking individuals who are hardworking, quick-thin

Terrible experience, I hope you remove this hostel from WorldPackers; it's a danger to volunteers. After accepting the conditions stated on WorldPackers, you arrive at the place and they change the rules. They want you to work 8 hours a day and at their disposal, a complete madness. In the kitchen they store foods with mouse feces, chickens and other animals, a danger of contamination for everyone who eats there. The places where you cook are full of mold. It is an exploitative condition, not a volunteer position. I have the evidence on my phone.

Terrible experience, the host is an opportunist with the volunteers; she expects you to be at the hostel all day, and at her disposal regarding her schedules and needs. If you set limits and tell her you won't continue performing tasks outside your working hours, she gets upset and expels you from the volunteer program. Arguing that other volunteers work up to 8 hours daily. Despite having reached a prior agreement on the working hours, according to what she specifies in Wordpackers, in practice she does not comply. Additionally, she has electrical devices in poor condition, and foods with mold and chicken feces.
