The Experience

I am building a temple in the middle of the mountain and I’m seeking help with various tasks, since the physical work can be demanding 🌄. You can help with whatever you feel comfortable with: painting, pruning, collecting stones, watering, cutting wood, building a cabin, or cleaning. It’s a life experience in the mountains, connecting with nature and a project with purpose.

Sadly this experience wasn't for me. I found the conditions very hard, the place is very remote, there are no running water, there isn't a proper shower, there is a dry toilet but I was told its better if I don’t use it, electricity is limited, you'll be lucky to get a stable cell service in a walking distance and there is very little privacy. The work was hard but I was met with consideration and got easier tasks. At times the atmosphere felt strange and uncomfortable mostly due to lacking communication. Rafael is a kind man with good intentions and I wish him good luck with his project.

Rafael is a kind and open person who welcomes you very well and tries to help you feel as good as possible. He cooks well and helps you organize yourself in the other tasks; he encourages you to learn on your own, always with his support in case you don't know how to do something. As for the work, 'help', the truth is that he is a very hardworking person and sets an example for others with it; in this sense it was hard for me, because, based on my experience, the jobs done there tend to be monotonous and linear, a situation in which I don't feel at my best. There, silence and peace prevail.

Rafael is a very kind and respectful person, you have a lot of free time and the tasks are simple, they adapt to what you know or can do, the food he provides is respectful and Ayurvedic, but you have a pantry and a kitchen so you can do whatever you want, what's more, there isn't a bathroom yet and you have to go to nature, but it will be ready soon, a hug always and a lovely experience ☀️

My experience with Rafael was good and different. It is a very quiet place, surrounded by nature and beautiful landscapes. If you are lucky enough to stay in the cabin, you will have a very private and comfortable space. There is always some task to do, and although Rafa is not very communicative, you can ask him about other activities. The food is mainly vegan. The nearest town is 14 km away, although there is a bicycle available. The bathroom and the shower require adaptation, since the experience is really close to nature.
