The Experience

Come and help us run our wee family guest house and bar in the Scottish Highlands. We are looking for help with housekeeping, and maybe in our wee bar also. In exchange you will be like part of our family here and get to meet our lovely local highlanders and people from all over the world. We have 2 kids ages 14 and 12, they are a big part of the life up here. We also have 4 very friendly sheep a cat. Fatyak, bike, paddle board all available.

I had the most amazing time with Cheryl and her family in the guest house. The other volunteers I worked with were great and the travellers and locals were so interesting to talk to. I got to learn so much about the Scottish culture and explore the beautiful highlands. Cheryl made me feel so welcome from the first day. She was very caring and attentive to all of us and I am so grateful I got to have this opportunity. If you get the opportunity to work here, do it! 100% reccomend and I will be back for a visit to see the family ❤️

Cheryl and Angus were the most incredible hosts I could have ever asked for. They go above and beyond for their volunteers and truly treat us like family. The work is exactly as described and always fair and equitable. Absolutely amazing people and an amazing hotel. Highly recommend volunteering here, I had the best few months!

I had an amazing time working and staying at the guest house! Cheryl and her family are wonderful people and welcomed me with open arms. My tasks were cleaning and reseting hotel rooms, helping with laundry and some light cleaning, and working in the bar at night. I had plenty of time during the day to explore the area and hang with the other volunteers! On my days off I would take the bus or train to other towns and cities nearby. I loved exploring the highlands, learning the history, and meeting the locals! I truly loved this experience and would absolutely recommend!
