The Experience

Join Podere Fulignano and help us with the olive harvest:) Tasks are working outdoors in the olive grove and garden—pruning trees and general upkeep. Also a bit of cleaning in the house would be very much apprecciated once a week. A hands-on experience full of good food, teamwork, and countryside living. ✨🍷

If you're thinking about staying with Thomas and Mel, do it. For one of my first experiences with worldpackers this was something I didn't think was possible when I signed up for the program. Although my stay was relatively short it was still truly an experience I won't forget. Thomas and Mel are both wonderful cooks and always make sure you are taken care of and feel welcomed. Their property is also so beautiful and there is lots of things to do during your free time. I really hope I can come back and visit again sometime in the future.

My experience with Thomas and Mel has been absolutely amazing. They are the most lovely couple ever, who are always making sure you are well taken care of. Every meal was up to Italian standards, and Thomas always made sure to share with you the vast cooking knowledge he has. The property is beautiful with stunning views of the Tuscan landscape, which you could easily get lost staring out at the hills during sunset. I could not recommend this experience enough, you will be truly spoilt with this opportunity.

Hey Josh, you were fantastic! It was so nice to have met you. Unfortunately we were late with our review and the system wouldn’t let us write it anymore. I wrote to Worldpackers to fix that. Anyway, you were a real asset and we hope to hear a lot more from you ♥️

When I first applied to Work&Travel Hosts, I would never have thought that an experience like this would be possible.
Melanie and Thomas welcomed me with the utmost warmth and, at every moment, ensured that the stay would become a time I will never forget.
In the past 6 weeks I have learned so much: both at work and in conversations with the two of them, in which they shared personal experiences from their numerous adventures.
I can't thank them enough for this time! Hopefully see you soon :)

The stay with Mel and Thomas was amazing. They are super kind and warm. The place is fantastic, perfect for enjoying Tuscany from the inside. The tasks were decent; they never demanded more than you could do (physically or if you have online remote work). The food is excellent, both are cooks who bring Italian cuisine to a new level. And there is always something delicious and fresh on the table. I'm very happy that this was my first volunteering experience. I would love to return in the future ❤️🌈
