We are looking for someone to take care of one of our dogs, named Sol! Sol is a 3 year old dog who needs designated attention and care. He has a tendency to escape from the house as he needs to get all his energy out. We are looking for someone to make sure he gets walked daily, can swim in the beach (his favourite activity), washed and and fed. We run a hostel 10 minutes away from the staff housing, you'll be able to join in on all the fun!

It was a wonderful experience volunteering at happy hammocks!!🌞 i really enjoyed organizing and joining activities and family dinners, meeting all the lovely people that came to the hostel and the friendly and welcoming staff, and just enjoying the amazing vibe of Arugam Bay!🏄🏽♀️ definitely recommend for future volunteers, and i will definitely come back in the future!🫶🏽

Volunteering at the hostel in arugam bay was probably one of the best volunteering experiences so far. Staff and people you meet truly become like your second family. The whole vibe of arugam bay is something you just have to experience. from chill to party vibes. social host job is super chill, basically just hanging around guest/your friends and planning activities that everyone wants to do i'm having the best time together. what 100% recommend us and excited to hopefully come back one day!! xx <33

I had the best time at the hostel lookin after the dog sol. He is an amazing dog and my job was to take him to the beach everyday which I loved. I then got to enjoy joining in with all the hostel activities and met loads of other travellers. The accomidation is super nice and Harshit and Mahir were so welcoming. I would reccomend to anyone who genuinely loves dogs and is comfortable around different dogs

I had a great time taking care of Sol (the dog belonging to the owner of the hostel). It was straight forward task to take the dog to the beach where he could get out his energy. He loved stopping by at a resturant where the owners sometimes gave him chicken bones which meant having to fetch him there every time he was let off the leash. Regular walks made him more relaxed and once he realized I was taking him everyday things between us and for us got a even easier. Hiriketiya is a lovely and relaxed place, food is great and the people are lovely.
