The Experience

Some places give you a bed. QBee gives you a seat at the table. We're a small shared home in Pasay — part hostel, part homestay, part neighborhood. Meals get cooked together. Stories get told over them. You'll meet locals who don't usually appear on tourist routes, and travelers who'll still message you a year from now. You're not here to work. You're here to be part of something that's already alive.

This truly felt like being taken on a trip of what Manila is all about. The host, the people, the trips, the community meals all make you feel apart of a community and with the host being a local himself. He would take you on whatever you wanted to see granted if everyone wanted to. That feeling of security felt really nice in a foreign country. The hours were very flexible, sometimes maybe to much. If the activity was an exhausting one he would even say to do it tomorrow. All in all a fantastic experience with many interesting memories to think about for a long time. (Beds were pretty hard :(

An unforgettable 9 days at the home! Although I came for content creation, the vibrant community, daily outings, cooking together, and non-stop fun meant time flew by, and I mostly helped out in the kitchen instead. Josh is an incredible host who creates a wonderful comfort zone for everyone, and the volunteers and guests are amazingly friendly. Highly recommended!

By staying at the home we got to see the real side of the Philippines. I felt like I was part of the culture instead of being a tourist. The hosts were very accommodating and the vibe at the guesthouse was extremely fun! The daytrips were also great. We've helped children and did a coastal cleanup. I will never forget the moments I've spent at the home

This experience is truly one of a kind. If you're nervous about solo traveling or volunteering for the first time, this is a great start. If you like city life then this is also a great opportunity. Josh always makes the volunteers and guests feel included while never forgetting to have fun! I came with no itinerary and did the coolest most unexpected things every day. This isn't going to be like the vacation you would plan yourself but it's the best experience the world can offer. Best experience hands down!!!
