Honestly this was the best part of my 7 month long travelling trip. Meeting the family and being welcomed into their home was so comforting. They showed me such kindness and patiently shared their life, food, culture, and nature with me. The village of Laxapana is beautiful, Heshan showed me waterfalls and hikes. He even drove me to the hospital and took care of me when I was ill at the beginning of my stay. I couldn't recommend this place enough to anyone wanting a real real experience of Sri Lanka. I only had to take some photos and videos of my day which I was happy to do.
