Every summer, many wild baby birds fall from nests due to heat and extreme weather. We are a grassroots wildlife rescue NGO caring for them 24/7 until they can return to the wild. It’s intense and meaningful work. This summer we host up to 4 volunteers to help with feeding, cleaning and care. No experience needed, just compassion and responsibility. Holii :) this has been a great experience. I loved the work part that after a little practice becomes easier and honestly I miss feeding venjecos. You'll learn many things about different birds, especially swifts, and you'll also get to be part of the liberation part, once they the birds get better, which was one of my favourite things. Also a part from the work I would raccommend this experience because you'll find great people especially the hosts that are so passionate, dedicated, fun and patient. You'll also get to learn a bit of spanish, visit Seville and taste amazing food.

Being a volunteer at La Madriguera was an incredible experience that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys working with animals and wants to have a real positive impact. In addition to taking care of the birds, I also had the opportunity to explore Seville during the weekends off and the beautiful town of Gerena. The room was very comfortable and had air conditioning, and the meals they provided us were delicious!
