The Experience

We have a beautiful and developing fruit forest and veggie garden and need help with maintaining and expanding them. This include chopping, planting, planning, fertilizing, exploring, learning, teaching our community, and most importantly- harvest and enjoy our amazing organic food that grows here. For the time here you'll be integrated into our community so 80% of the volunteer time will be with the plants and 20% other community activities.

Staying at the community was such an authentic and immersive experience in the jungle! I learned so much about creating a sustainable community and how much goes into it. The people in this community were so kind and helpful, and there are neighboring communities that they are close to-- so plenty of opportunities to meet likeminded people. Daniel is a really understanding and flexible host. It is so nice to work with someone who has so much passion, drive and vision for what he is creating. I would recommend the community to anyone who is looking for a true jungle experience with cool people.

Man… the community… what a beautiful yet drastic change for me! I'd never been out of the country before. I was nervous, a bit scared even. I talked with Daniel every couple days for MONTHS before I came and he was always willing to communicate with me which I loved and made me feel like it was real and he cared. The environment as soon as I arrived was the most open and loving place I'd ever been and they were strangers… all of them. You are going to be IN nature. I would highly recommend this place for people looking to completely let go, free their minds, and connect with nature! Do IT!

Wonderful experience in every sense; the first thing I want to highlight is the treatment I received from Daniel and Isa, it was incredible; they treated me like family and there was very good chemistry from day one. The tasks are typical of a farm in the tropical humid forest; the hours are super flexible; the work ranges from painting to helping with construction for Daniel or clearing the brush, so some days can be physically demanding. Bring mosquito repellent and say that here you are away from the town, but if you need to go Daniel lends you his motorcycle; in a video call he clarifies details with you.
