The Experience

Join Camilo (a doctor) and Sylvia on our family farm in Vallenar! We need help 5h/day, Mon-Fri, with house cleaning and gardening. We offer a private or shared room, all meals, endless fresh farm fruit, laundry, and city pickup. We provide bikes and love taking volunteers to Llanos de Challe, the mountains, "desierto florido" or whale watching! Medical care included if needed.

Camilo and his mom Sylvia are very, very welcoming; I had an amazing time. My morning job was to tidy and clean a room with lots of books and dust, it was interesting to come across a bunch of books about Chilean history and philosophy. They took me along to the gym and the cinema, so you can do some exercise during your stay :) Sylvia is also an excellent cook (she eats a lot of meat, but also the fruits from the garden: oranges, lemons, etc). I really enjoyed their seafood empanadas. I learned many stories and I would definitely come back <33 Thank you very much.
