The Experience

This chaotic, happy lot, living in a beautiful but often windy farm in the South-east of Galicia, are looking for volunteers. So if you feel like building, repairing, swearing, digging, looking for runaway animals, fencing, joking, laughing, & playing music, we would be happy to learn to know you. You can learn & do about anything here – we are well experienced builders & farmers that took a challenge a bit to big for just the six of us.

The description is indeed correct! The animals do not stay in their designated places haha. But it was so fun to collaborate on finding solutions, and looking for lost horses up in the hills, from the back of a truck, is quite fun.
The people: Supportive and positive and will never fail to make you laugh. Meeting and working with other international volunteers was very fun. And Michel and Linde are an absolute pleasure to be around.
I recommend close-toed shoes, long pants, gloves. Work breaks are whenever you need them, and lazy days do happen ;)
Thank you both for such a valued experience!

Honestly, the experience for me at the house was very good; I was with two of the family's children, and the truth is that what I would highlight most about the trip is them. I consider they are noble, kind, respectful, tolerant people... they made the relationship with them very easy and they made me feel very comfortable... Beyond that, in my case I liked being with animals and in nature, since the place is in the heart of nature... They adapt to you at all times, they always ask you in a very respectful way if you want to do any task... In short, I would highlight them above all.

It was a very pleasant and beautiful experience. I really enjoyed helping on their farm, learning about animal care, and I greatly improved my English. The host is very friendly and organized; I recommend going to the house.
