My first volunteering experience was amazing! I connected with nature and plants while enjoying easy, rewarding garden work and plenty of free time to explore temples and waterfalls. Hide is a kind, cheerful host who lends us his car. The house is spacious, rooms are private, breakfast is provided, and everyone shares the same day off, making it easy to make friends and explore together. And if Hide makes you onigiri, they'll be the best you taste in Japan! Highly recommended! โค๏ธ

The farm was my first volunteer experience ever and I couldn't have thought of a better place to start with. Hide is an amazing host, always nice and very chill guy. We are (almost) every dinner with him and we had good laughs all together. The work is easy enough, some days are more rough than others but still completely manageable. Awa is a small city but the car made it easy to travel around!! The nature is beautiful, so many temples and cities nearby so you won't get bored if you want to do things. I truly recommend this experience, you will meet amazing people ;)

Hide is such a nice and fun host, very accommodating. Most of my work was picking and tending to eggplants, which wasnโ€™t hard and we were generally done by 11am everyday with the rest of the day to ourselves. Hide provides simple foods like eggs and rice with full use of the kitchen. You can also use his car to go to the store or go on day trips, which is nice on days off. The accommodation is a traditional house with ac in the bedrooms. Overall would recommend!

I had the absolute best first volunteer experience staying with Hide. Everything about my stay with him was great and it all went incredibly smoothly, thanks to his extremely calm nature. I truely enjoyed working and living with Hide, learning so many new things regarding farming and life in Japan. I also made new friends, found so many things to do in the area and just enjoying every minute of my trip, so much so that I even extended my stay an extra week. Thanks to this amazing experience I now consider Hide my Japanese father and I will definitely be coming back!
