Teaching English to the kids was a great chance to let go of my ego, feel free from the pressure of work, and enjoy the lessons with pure-hearted children. I had never realized that interconnection was so important until the locals invited me to join their meals. The people are sociable, friendly, and hospitable. They are the main characters of my story in Ha Giang, it's not just about how stunning the scenery is, but about how they inspired me to find a more suitable way of living.

My experience there was amazing. I met a lot of local people and discovered places that you usually only get to know if you stay for a couple of weeks. The classes were super fun and interactive with the kids, and you also have enough time to go out and explore the area.
I 100% recommend it if you like local experiences.

The project has a few sites. I was volunteering in Meo Vac and I truly had the time of my life. Stayed three weeks, and I was taken care of nicely. I was provided with lunch and dinner, and I was teaching English - two classes a day. The kids were amazing, full of energy and enthusiastic. Don't be afraid if you have never thought before, you can do it, and you will surely have fun. I loved my time there. I will keep the memories in my heart forever.
