This was my very first volunteer experience and it was awesome! Online I applied to the "the hostel" hostel but ended up staying at Hidden Garden Hotel which was about a 20 minute walk further away from the city centre, which I found out about upon arrival, but the location of the Hotel was great to be able to see the less touristy side of Cusco and allowed me to explore more and see parts of Cusco that i probably wouldn't have seen! I don't speak spanish but the other volunteers were amazing at helping with translating and assisting when needed! Overall it was a great learning experience!

I loved my 2-week volunteering experience here at the hostel Cusco. Maria and Fernando are so kind, and so are the other volunteers. I really appreciate how patient they were with me when I talk in spanish. I learned so many new skills, especially at the reception, and I truly enjoyed interacting with the guests as well. The workload was manageable, and I honestly wish I could have stayed longer. 💛

En general, fue una buena experiencia. El alojamiento era muy cómodo y el ambiente agradable. Como detalle a tener en cuenta, las tareas de voluntariado se realizaban en otro hostal, por lo que había que caminar hasta allí para cumplir con las horas correspondientes. El desayuno estaba incluido en ese otro hostal, aunque en los días libres no iba al otro hostal a solo desayunar. Fuera de esos detalles, la experiencia fue positiva y recomiendo el lugar.

Recomiendo este voluntariado pues Cusco es la capital inca, hay demasiado por conocer sobre su cultura, el centro histórico es super grande, y demás pueblos y templos sagrados como machupichu, hay un sin fin de actividades, que puedes ir caminando o en bus. El Hostel DreamUp es compartido con otros voluntarios o huéspedes entonces conoces personas de diferentes partes del mundo 🌍 las camas son super para descansar y el baño es compartido, todo es de buen aseo, genial. Si te hospedas en DreamUp no te dan desayuno 🥣 como lo promete en la app, hay otro Hostel más grande y allá si te dan 🥣
