The Experience

For the first two weeks, you will have normal volunteer shifts: 4 hours per day, 6 days per week, 1 day off 24 hours per week in total If we see that you are reliable and good at the work, there will be the possibility of covering staff shifts, mainly evening and night shift. Staff shifts are 8 hours long. Since you would be working around 24 hours per week, you will have more days off. We prefer people staying for long time. 2 months prefered

Thank you the hostel. I felt as though I had lots of time to explore and the work was easy. Sahil, especially, is extremely helpful, kind and patient with all volunteers. I met many international travellers, as well as some locals. It was great staying in a separate apartment, as often I'd have some time alone to reenergise. However, it was dirty when I got there. I understand it's the previous volunteers' duty to clean beforehand, but perhaps some supervision prior the next volunteer's arrival would be beneficial. That was minor though - my overall experience was incredible!

I had a great time at the hostel, met amazing people and the city is beautiful. Working hours were respected and it was good to have our own apartment. The staff and volunteers were the best part thought. Specially Sahil for being so gentle and helpful, and Angela who was like a mother for me during my stay. Only point of improvement would be the wifi of the apartment and the maintenance of the hostel that could be a little better. I am very thankful for the experience and totally reccomend it.

I really enjoyed the team and ended up making some great friends along the way. The tasks and working hours we agreed on were respected, and I had plenty of time to explore the city and enjoy my days off. It was a really nice experience!

This was my first Worldpackers experience, and I couldn't have chosen a better place! I had the opportunity to connect with international travelers, improve my English, and even practice a bit of Spanish and Italian. The staff and volunteers made me feel welcome from day one. The work was easy and flexible, including cleaning, making beds, check-ins, bar shifts, and other small tasks. Taormina is breathtaking, and the hostel has a great atmosphere. I'm so grateful for everyone I met and I'll always look back on it with great affection 💛
