The Experience

Hi worldpacker! 😊 Our lodge is located on a small island in the paradise of Bocas del Toro, right in between the jungle and the ocean. We have a huge water slide, a swimming pool and spacious social area where our guests have cocktails (& staff too! 🍹) while watching the most outstanding view. 2017 , 2025 & 2026 winner of best Hostel in Panama! We do not accept children at the Lodge (it is includes childish behavior)

Esta fue mi peor experiencia de voluntariado. No hay lockers y las puertas de las habitaciones no se pueden cerrar. Las 3h de trabajo diarias se convierten en 6. El barco “gratis” suele costar 10 dólares en el mejor de los casos. La cocina es muy rudimentaria, la electricidad se corta siempre y el internet es muy inestable. Además, desde el segundo día dejan a los voluntarios solos, sin nadie que les diga qué hacer. Faltan muchas cosas por decir, pero no entran en el texto. Honestamente es una experiencia que no recomiendo, y menos por 1 mes.

Lamentamos que te hayas llevado esa impresión, es importante aclarar que solo estuviste 3días en la locación. En este tiempo, mostraste poco interés en integrarte con el equipo y tuviste una actitud poco amable con el staff. Te explicamos en la entrevista, buscamos voluntarios con buena energía, ganas de ayudar y trabajar en equipo. Creemos que el compromiso, la actitud y el respeto mutuo son fundamentales para que un voluntariado funcione. Por estas razones, no te recomendaríamos, Gracias Nevid
