I had a great time in Istambul, the house is located a short drive from the water and it is comfortable. I used my time there to just relax and rest from my other trips, so I had a good time chatting with Recep and getting to know him and learning about the culture. The tasks were light and easy! (:

This volunteer job was my first one here on worldpackers and i am very happy about this! For me it has been the perfect start and also one of my biggest intentions with volunteering is to be close to the locals/ see the life of the locals. And indeed i saw the live of a turkish man - Recap is very kind, very fair and good to talk with. The tasks mostly we did together - he do not see volunteers as a sllave, it is like a roomates. I enjoyed the stay and would come back.

My time here was so awesome. I met Receps friends and family, had delicious Turkish cuisine and learnt to cook Menemen! Recep is such a lovely person aswell as host, I was looked after very well. I got the opportunity to go camping with his friends and I also named his little kitten 'Luna' :D The work was typical household chores like cooking and cleaning, very manageable. I will miss playing Tavla (backgammon) with you Recep, next time I come I will win.

Staying at Recep's house was such a blast!

We were with my girlfriend Olivia spending time together, sharing with Recep's friends a weekend in a camping. We tasted some traditional turkish meals and listened to great music with the Saz (turkish instrument).
We also did some gardening and cleaning at his place. He has very good proyects around the house to continue turning it in a nice place.
Thank you Recep for your hospitality and a lot of Menemen for breakfast!
All the best in this new platform and with the volunteers.
I totally recommend his place. 😁

I had an enjoyable 3 weeks with Recep, our host and got handy in the garden helping him build a woodshed. Room was nice, food was good and the company engaging. I will miss the beautiful and friendly dog and cat who gave me some funny moments to remember.
