The Experience

We are a 58- year-old couple. Our project is to renovate a house for the team, so we need persons that are able to help with construction, wood work, maintenance and garden. We also need someone that are prepared to do physical and demanding work and are not afraid to work. Plenty of work, so the time will fly and in your free time, you can enjoy the natural beauty of this stunning area, the wild beaches and the silence.

I loved my time at Ponte Pedra. Ana and Jorge are really kind and interesting people, they provide bikes for the volunteers to visit the local beaches and towns in your free time, and are generous with taking you to the bus station if you want to visit other places on your days off. The surrounding landscape is beautiful and I think it's a unique chance to experience rural the hotel. The work will keep you busy but it's straightforward and hours/days off are respected. Obrigada :)

My experience was really nice. I learned new things, such as how to make delicious Portuguese snacks. I also had the opportunity to practice other languages as well. Food is delicious and plentiful for everyone, even on days off. I met lovely people. Ana and Jorge are truly kind and warm people, always making sure everyone feels welcomed. The surrounding nature is beautiful for hiking or cycling, and the beaches are incredible (around 30 min by bike). There are also adorable dogs to play with! It is a perfect place to connect with nature and leave stress behind.
